The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment And Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has successfully organized the Sub Inspector (SI) and Platoon Commander written examination on 14th and 15th March 2026. This recruitment is conducted for 4,543 vacant posts in the UP Police department. Candidates who appeared in the CBT exam can now access their District Intimation and Admit Cards. The board will soon release the Official Answer Key for objections.

UP Police SI Exam Syllabus 2026 (Full Details)
The written exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 400 Marks. Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in each subject.
- 1. General Hindi (100 Marks): Question related to Hindi and other Indian languages, Hindi Grammar, Antonyms, Synonyms, One word substitution, Unseen Passage, and Letter Writing.
- 2. Law & Constitution / General Knowledge (100 Marks):
• Law: Human Rights, Traffic Rules, Wildlife Protection, IT Act, Cyber Crime, IPC & CrPC basics.
• GK: Indian History, Indian Economy, Culture, Geography, General Science, and Current Affairs.
- 3. Numerical & Mental Ability (100 Marks): Number System, Simplification, Decimal & Fraction, LCM & HCF, Ratio, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Partnership, Time & Work.
- 4. Mental Aptitude / IQ / Reasoning (100 Marks): Public Interest, Law & Order, Crime Control, Rule of Law, Analogy, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relation, Directions, and Logic Diagrams.
Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Qualifying the physical test is mandatory for final selection.
